All great things have humble beginnings and M/s. Sonkamal Enterprises
Pvt. Ltd. was no exception. Our story began way back in 1980 when we started
our operations by trading locally in Phenol as well as other chemicals.
We have been also been appointed as authorised distributors of Si Group India (formerly known as Schenectady Herdillia) from 1992, Hindustan Organics Chemicals Ltd from 2015 & Deepak Phenolics from 2018 and we are one of the largest lifters for phenol.
With small successes along the way, our biggest claim to being a trustworthy asset came in the Year 1994 when we were appointed as the authorized agent for M/s. Herdillia Chemicals Limited, for their products namely Phenol to be supplied in Tankers and in Drums.
With small successes along the way, our It was in the Year 1999/2000 that our company became a Private Limited Company under the name and style of M/s. Sonkamal Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. with our Directors Mr.Janak P. Ladhani, Mr.Virag J.Ladhani, Mrs. Meena J. Ladhani & Mr.Vinod B. Shah leading the way. In the Year 2002/2003, M/s. S.I. Group India Limited (formely known as M/s. Herdillia Chemicals Limited) favoured our company with their other major additional products namely Acetone and Phthalic Anhydride.
We planned to expand and soon purchased 6 acres of land to develop an
infrastructure of Tank Farm. Something with state-of-the-art infrastructure and
facilities. Nothing less than what some our International competitors offer. The
Tank Farm housed a facility of automatic drumming of bulk chemicals from
tanks and huge sheds for storage of drummed chemicals and empty drums.
We are an organisation that’s not in a hurry, but an organisation that doesn’t
like to waste time.
We have steadily grown from strength to strength to become one of the
largest independent petrochemical distributors in India having a diverse range
of chemicals, from solvents to specialities with annual sales volumes in excess
of 72,000 MT.
Sonkamal’s present product portfolio holds an array of exceptional products. It
includes Phenol, Acetone etc.
Presently, Sonkamal is a key partner to a number of large International
Corporates like Schenectady etc.
from whom it sources products to support its customer needs on a “just-in-
time” basis thereby assisting its customers in reducing their inventory carrying
costs by offering a regular supply of quality product on a consistent basis.
We
have a core team of sales, logistics, service and finance personnel addressing
every aspect of a customer’s requirement for faster solutions. Hence,
Sonkamal has actively been able to provide services with quality, economical
and timely solutions to its customers.
